Mission:

Look Up- The first and most important thing that we can do as Christians is to “Look Up.” Looking to God for direction, council, help and wisdom. As we touch God, God will in turn touch us so that we can touch others. This is done through our worship, praise and service to Him. (Ps. 87:2, Ps. 22:3, Matt. 22:26-37, Col. 3:2)

Look In- We “Look In” because we want to change and grow into that new creation (II Cor. 5:17) Christ has called us to be. Looking in allows us to have a personal relation- ship with Christ and Christ to use our unique spiritual gifts and abilities for His glory. (Rom. 12, Eph. 2:10, Eph. 1:6, Eph. 4:11-12)

Look Out- Finally, we “Look Out” to all people and nations. God has called us to practice the “one another.” Love one another, encourage one another, pray for one another, etc. We are called to minister to the worlds needs and to accept them as they are into the fellowship. (Eph. 6:8, Heb. 13:3)

Ministry Focus:

“Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’” -Matthew 22:37-39

The most important aspect of CrossRoads Cowboy Church is that it is Christ centered in all that it does. “Following Christ” is the vision for the church and lives of its members. We want Christ to be the center of everything and try to do what Jesus would do and have us do.

Fulfill the Great Calling to the Community

“Let them Praise the name of the Lord; for he commanded, and they were created! He also established them forever and ever; he made a decree that shall not pass away.” Psalm 148:5-6

We all have something we can do for the Lord. First and foremost, we were created to give and bring praises to the name of the Lord. Secondly, we all should be involved in some sort of ministry. God has created us for his service. The priority of the church is to help every individual learn how to worship God and find a place of ministry for God.

Fulfill the Great Commission to the Un-Churched Culture

“And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen.” -Matthew 28:18-20

“You shall receive power after the Holy Spirit has come upon you and you shall be my witnesses in Jerusalem, all of Judea, Samaria, and the other most parts of the world.” -Acts 1:8

God has called us to reach out to people. WE BELIEVE that each member of CrossRoads Cowboy Church is responsible in “reaching out” to individuals in their neighborhood. In so doing we win our community for Christ. WE BELIEVE that as a church we should plant other churches in other neighborhoods so that we might win the world.

Fulfill the Great Concern of the Our Culture

“Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much.” -.James 5:16

“Be devoted to one another in love. Honour one another above yourselves.” -Romans 12:10 The concern of CrossRoads Cowboy Church is that we shine Jesus into the un-churched way of life. We are to be the light that will shine in the darkness. The way we let the light shine is by performing these “one anothers” from the Bible, of which there are over 150. That is the main reason we come together as a body of believers and the main reason we have contact with others, so that we might practice them, one to another.

CORE VALUES:

As a church we try to keep things simple and easy in function, message, and dress. We will remove barriers that would keep individuals from attending a service.

Christ is first in everything!

Agree to accept people the way they are and not condemn them just as Christ did not condemn us. We present the gospel and let the Holy Spirit convict and purify.

Our services, outreach, and activities are relevant to the cowboy lifestyle.
